Administrative Support: The Administrative Support maintain standard operating procedures and, in some cases, meeting minutes. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in billing software, medical insurance regulations (Medicare & Medicaid), and an expert at responding to insurance inquiries. The Administrative Support will also be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality, handling personal information, and accurately inputting patient data into software.

Position requirements:

  • Knowledge of MassHealth PCOS and Direct Entry
  • Two (2) years’ previous experience as a medical biller or in a related healthcare administrative position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and payroll
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation a MUST.
  • Acceptable results must be received for background checks including Credential Verification, Driver History, CORI, SORI and Fingerprinting

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Follow all regulations and guidelines set by Medicare, state programs and ACO/MCO
  • Monitor and resolve financial discrepancies
  • File and maintain organized documentation of all billing and record
  • Enters information necessary for insurance claims such as patient, insurance ID, diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers, and provider information. Insures claim information is complete and accurate.
  • Submits insurance claims to clearinghouse or individual insurance companies electronically or via paper CMS-1500 form.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Physical environment and demands: Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand, lift, and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Interpersonal Skills: Combined skills in understanding others, and skills persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others.

Register Nurse (Fee for Service): We are looking Registered Nurse (RN) who will assess clients for services, determine clinical eligibility for programs and develop care plans. Our primary goal is to support individuals who receive services in the community, so they can continue living in their own home.

Position requirements:

  • RN licensed required. Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with the elderly and/or individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation a MUST.
  • Acceptable results must be received for background checks including Credential Verification, Driver History, CORI, SORI and Fingerprinting
  • Key responsibilities:
  • Completes and coordinates all applicable clinical assessments and clinical evaluations.
  • Support, train, evaluate, and supervise the AFC Caregiver in conjunction with the Care Manager as needed on an on-going basis.
  • Following acceptance to program and ensures that all required forms and standard procedures are followed for the placement process.
  • Conduct on site home visits and complete RN progress note and other paperwork as required.
  • Ensure all documentation and forms are complete, accurate, and timely.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload and provide all encompassing care management.
  • Excellent documentation/writing skills.
  • Ability to think and work creatively as part of a team and/or independently.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Perform other tasks as needed or assigned
  • Conducts orientation training, and on-going trainings to caregivers
  • Review medication changes, new diagnosis with caregivers and members
  • Plans and implements discharges and transition from the AFC Program
  • While performing duties for this position, the employee travels by using their own personal vehicle and is exposed to changing weather conditions. The employee must have the ability to safely travel to and from the AFC home. In addition, the employee will be required to drive for meetings and/or visits to AFC provider homes or to facilities targeted for AFC program marketing. Since AFC provider homes are private residences, the employee may be exposed to pets, family members, smoking, cooking, or other fragrances. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

 

Job Description

Care Manager (Fee for Service): The AFC Care Manager will provide psychosocial and counseling assistance to AFC Members. The Care Manager will evaluate potential participants for the AFC Program. They will, in conjunction with a registered nurse, participate in the care planning multidisciplinary team, supervision, evaluation, and the discharge planning process.

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Cape Verdean Creole, Spanish, Social work background preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with the elderly and/or individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation a MUST.
  • Acceptable results must be received for background checks including Credential Verification, Driver History, CORI, SORI and Fingerprinting
  • Key responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and obtain social histories on AFC members and Caregivers.
  • Support, train, evaluate, and supervise the AFC Caregiver in conjunction with the RN.
  • Conduct on site home visits and complete Care Manager progress note and other paperwork as required.
  • Ensure all documentation and forms are complete, accurate, and timely.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload and provide all encompassing care management.
  • Excellent documentation/writing skills.
  • Ability to think and work creatively as part of a team and/or independently.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors.
