Rivers of Hope Advocates for Change at AFC Awareness Event

Boston, MA — June 2025

Advocacy matters. Change starts with conversations.

This June, Rivers of Hope proudly joined the Massachusetts Council for Adult Foster Care at the State House for the AFC Awareness Event. The event gathered advocates, providers, and caregivers to raise awareness of vital legislation that directly impacts Adult Foster Care across the Commonwealth.

CEO Francineglide Victoria and members of the ROH team met with legislators and staff, sharing powerful stories and data that highlighted the importance of community-based, compassionate care.

Together with fellow advocates, ROH visited multiple legislative offices to promote new legislation designed to strengthen and expand AFC programs in Massachusetts. These proposals aim to improve funding, increase accessibility, and enhance support for both caregivers and care recipients.

At Rivers of Hope, advocacy is not just a value—it’s a responsibility. We believe every voice counts in shaping a better future for those we serve.
